Welcome to Health Science Department!

The genesis of Asrat Woldeyes Health Science campus dates back to 2008 when the university started health science education in two programs, nursing and health officer under the health science college and in 2022 it adopted its present name. The campus is named with Ethiopia's most prominent surgeon and the first dean of Addis Ababa University, Medical faculty, Professor Asrat Woldeyes. Currently the campus provides ten Bachelor’s programs, twelve master’s programs and one doctoral program that are open to both domestic and international applicants under different schools and departments. The campus provides quality medical service to the surrounding community. We conduct high-quality class research in different subjects from basic science to translational research. The campus has 1134 undergraduates & 285 graduate students and more than 520 employees.
