GENERAL BACKGROUND

Foundation

Ethio Victory College was founded in 2003 G.C. as Teacher Training Institute in order to train primary school teachers at certificate level. The name given during inception was Blanc Mesnil Institute. As the institute has grown rapidly since its inception in 2003, the former name of the institute was changed to Ethio Victory College in 2007 and began technical and vocational training at diploma level. Ethio Victory College (VC) is one of the higher learning private institutions in Ethiopia established at Debre-Berhan Town Current Ethio Victory College to be one of the excellent universities available in Ethiopia in terms of higher education, research and community service it offers. To make the missions a reality Ethio Victory College is

currently 

organizing itself into four academic units (departments) and 11 fields of study. The diploma and undergraduate academic units include Health Science, Information Technology, Animal Production and Business and Economics. Besides, the college launched masters program in Public Health in collaboration with Debre Berhan University and some students graduated in this field. Taking this experience into account, the college planned to open two post-graduate programs, namely Masters of Public Health/MPH and Masters of Business Administration/MBA in 2025-2030. At present, there are 35 academic staff and 19 administrative staff members who are working on regular basis. As the college run some programs by hiring Part-time teachers from Debre Berhan University and other institutions, there are about 16 part-time lecturers. All in all, Ethio Victory College has a total of 65 academic and administrative workers. The total number of students who enrolled at this time is about 616 of which 377 (61.20%) are female students.
